ÉMANOU is a brand for those who seek fashionable sophistication in simplicity.

Created as a result of 20 years of experience in crafting beautiful, made-to-measure shirts, Petra Szychułda wanted to translate that expertise into a fresh brand aimed at a modern woman.

During the annual summer vacation in St. Tropez, Petra met Catrin Schanz, a friend and accomplished designer and creative director in the fashion industry. They have long shared a vision of elevating the design of a classic shirt to create a collection of feminine, playful blouses with a nod towards classic sophistication. Discovering that synergy and mutual passion for this particular sense of style and sustainable creation, ÉMANOU emerged.

The french-inspired name ÉMANOU, on one hand refers to the Berg family’s shirt company Emanuel Berg, yet on the other hand commemorates the place where our brand was born: France. ÉMANOU is a brand which has been created by women, for women.

ÉMANOU cherishes independence, strength, but also the loving care that women like Catrin and Petra give off. Émanou’s first collection for Autumn/ Winter 2021 consists of 60 blouses made of supreme quality, Italian fabrics. The fits have been developed by an in-house team of seamstresses with immense experience in tailoring for various female silhouettes.

Petra and Catrin find a sustainable and transparent approach key to building a wholesome brand that is fit for today’s age. Our manufacturing process begins and ends in Europe, which puts us in full control of producing ethically and with full awareness of our supply-chains. This way of conducting our business lies at the core of our story and we are happy and proud to have the opportunity to communicate that.
